Bonjour ! Aux enchères se trouve l’une des découvertes scientifiques les plus importantes : NWA 11921, une brèche polymicte martienne, prochainement associée à NWA 7034. Pesant 0,405 gramme, elle est surnommée « Black Beauty » et a été découverte en Afrique du Nord-Ouest en 2018. Cette météorite recèle des indices sur la présence d’eau sur Mars et compte parmi les météorites les plus rares du marché. Un incontournable pour tout collectionneur de matériaux spatiaux ultra-rares ! NWA 7034 est la plus ancienne météorite martienne à ce jour, âgée découverte d’environ 4,4 milliards d’années. Cette brèche (composée de diverses roches crustales mélangées puis frittées par la chaleur) est le seul échantillon martien dont la composition est représentative de la croûte martienne moyenne. La météorite a offert aux chercheurs une occasion unique d’étudier la croûte ancienne de Mars. L’équipe a appliqué plusieurs techniques de datation radioisotopique pour déterminer que la division (ou dichotomie) entre les hauts plateaux du sud, fortement cratérisés, et les plaines plus lisses des basses terres du nord s’est formée avant la formation de NWA 7034, il y a 4,4 milliards d’années. Cet âge ancien est compatible avec une origine liée à un impact géant pour cette dichotomie crustale
