une impactite formée par l’impact d’une comète avec la Terre au MAROC il y a 12 000 ans.

L’énorme quantité d’énergie générée par l’impact a fait fondre le sable du désert, formant ce verre lorsqu’il s’est solidifié à nouveau. À l’intérieur de ce verre se trouvent des particules de la comète qui se sont mélangées à la matière terrestre. Cette comète est connue pour avoir été similaire à la comète Wild 2. Cet événement a eu lieu au même moment qu’une grande extinction qui a eu lieu en afrique maroc, il est donc plus que probable que les deux événements soient liés.
